Alberta became the first Canadian province to designate June as Philippine Heritage month since Alberta Premier Rachel Notley and Lt Governor Lois Mitchell signed the provincial proclamation last year.

This event in Lethbridge was organized by The Filipino Canadian Association of Lethbridge Alberta (FCALA) and sponsored by various local filipino-owned businesses. It was truly a fun-filled event with lots of local talents performing and businesses selling mouth-watering filipino delicacies. From the staple pancit, turon, adobo, halo-halo, lechon there were also filipino goodies sold like, longganisa, kopiko, piatos and more.
People from neighboring towns like, Taber, Pincher Creek, Coaldale, Cardston came and joined the celebration. Even more worth mentioning are the ones that came from Calgary and Montana.
Wacky Shots was there of course to take part of the event as one of the sponsors. We showcased our unattended Vogue Booth (selfie station) and it ran for the whole event without anybody attending to it. The booth featured boomerangs, gifs, still photos and included digital props, photo filters. Guests were able to send their photos and videos thru email or text.
